Investment Finance Analyst

We are looking for an Investment Finance Analyst to join a dynamic, fast-paced, rapid growth team.

This role is important because it will support CAAT Pension Plan’s investment accounting, compliance, valuation, investment tax, trade processing and financial reporting processes and the related reconciliations and maintenance of underlying data.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Familiarity with pensions and pension-related legislation
  • Problem solver always looking to improve current practices
  • Someone who thrives in a fast paced environment where deadlines are critical and can be tight
  • Strong interest in technology and desire to learn and apply new software
  • Experience with accounting (ideally investment related), financial reporting, and external or internal audit.
  • Excellent project management, research, analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Detail oriented, comfortable analyzing, calculating, and verifying data
  • Exceptional judgement, strong team player, thorough, and logical
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Your university degree or Community College Diploma equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration, with 1-5 years of accounting/financial field, pension plan or financial services experience make you the ideal candidate. You may also have or be actively pursuing your CPA designation.

IT Help Desk Administrator

We are looking for a talented, resourceful, quick learning IT Help Desk Administrator to join our team.

In this important role, you will support a close-knit technical team to provide support for the day-to-day operations of the desktop environment. You will coordinate requests for support, prioritize and assign severity levels, and follow up with users and your team to ensure service level standards are being met. You will monitor, review, and provide reporting on the performance of the help desk. You will troubleshoot issues, resolving when possible and escalating as necessary. You will administer end user workstations, including deployment, updating of hardware and software, and documenting processes as necessary

Specifically, you will be providing support for: Windows desktop OS; Desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and web browsers; Network connectivity; End user hardware including desktops, laptops, and mobile phones; Remote access systems; Online meetings and webinars.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • 3 or more years of experience providing technical support to users in a Windows desktop environment
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Windows registry, group policy configuration and user profiles
  • Accountability - Takes ownership of personal workload and performs tasks to completion within deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver always looking to improve current practices
  • Someone who is eager to grow and develop and can juggle multiple priorities

Policy Analyst (2 positions)

We are looking for a proactive, solution oriented Policy Analyst to join our team.

In this important role you will support CAAT Pension Plan’s legislative, regulatory and plan text compliance while providing recommendations for setting Plan policies and procedures.  You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Service Delivery team and respond to inquiries related to policy as well as support content development for member, employer and public communications.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Familiarity with pensions and pension-related legislation
  • A quick learner with experience in developing and analyzing policy
  • Possess a high level of research, analytical and critical thinking skills, with a knack towards thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience tracking and assessing impact of legislative and regulatory changes
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation (i.e. Income Tax Act, Ontario Pension Benefits Act)
  • Exceptional judgement, strong team player, thorough, and logical
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver always looking to improve current practices
  • Someone who is eager to grow and develop and can juggle multiple priorities

Your undergraduate degree or appropriate diploma in applied arts, social sciences, public administration or business related fields, with 3 – 5 years of policy development or pension related experience makes you the ideal candidate. You may also have or be actively pursuing your Pension Plan Administration Certificate or Certified Employee Benefit Specials Program designation.
