According to news reports, rotating postal strikes are possible as early as October 22, 2018.

Transactions in progress: If you have an ongoing process that requires you to submit documents to the Plan (e.g. a retirement application), you can either fax or courier your documents, or use the Plan’s secure online document transfer system (called S-DOC). Contact CAAT Pension Plan member services (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Expecting a lump sum payment? Contact CAAT Pension Plan member services (email@example.com) to arrange for either direct deposit, or to pick up your cheque.
2017 OPSEU Faculty strike purchases: Please wait for any postal disruption to be resolved before sending a cheque for the strike purchase. The purchase can be made at anytime prior to the end of your employment, and the cost will not change.
Retired members: Pensions are paid by direct deposit, so there will be no interruption to your payment. However, if you are one of the few members who receive your pension by cheque, please contact CAAT Pension Plan member services (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange for a pickup or direct deposit.
