Need an answer to a pension question?

Q. How do I get an estimate of my pension?

If you are an active member you can use our online 3 Step Pension Estimator, with or without your most recent annual statement, to estimate your pension at different dates.

If you are within 5 years of retirement, you can receive up to 3 pension estimates per year directly from the Plan. To do so, complete and sign the Pension Estimate Request form and fax it to us at 416-673-9028, or scan and email it to member@caatpension.on.ca. The form must be signed by the member requesting the estimate.

If you have a deferred pension in the Plan (left your pension in the Plan after terminating membership) please note that our 3 Step Pension Estimator will not produce an accurate estimate for you. Please complete and sign the Pension Estimate Request form and fax it to us at 416-673-9028, or scan and email it to member@caatpension.on.ca. The form must be signed by the member requesting the estimate.

Q. When can I expect to receive my Annual Statement?

Annual statements are delivered to members by the end of June each year. If you have not received your statement by July, contact Member Services by phone at 1.866.350.2228 or email member@caatpension.on.ca.

Q. How do I buy back service?

The first steps in pursuing a buyback depend on whether you are interested in purchasing your employment service prior to enrolling in the Plan, or a gap in service after you became a Plan member.  

Pre-enrolment service – You can get an estimate of the cost of buying back your pre-enrolment service by using our Actuarial Cost Estimator (ACE) tool here on our website. The ACE tool also leads to the form you need to collect the data we’ll need from your employer:

Other types of service – Your employer’s human resources department can help you complete the forms to request a quote.

Q. Where can I find the Direct Deposit form?

We’ll send you a Direct Deposit form to start your pension. You'll have to complete, sign, and return the form to the CAAT Pension Plan by mail or fax. (Do not send the completed form by email as it contains personal information.)
