Investment Finance Analyst

We are looking for an Investment Finance Analyst to join a dynamic, fast-paced, rapid growth team.

This role is important because it will support CAAT Pension Plan’s investment accounting, compliance, valuation, investment tax, trade processing and financial reporting processes and the related reconciliations and maintenance of underlying data.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Familiarity with pensions and pension-related legislation

  • Strong interest in technology and desire to learn and apply new software
  • Experience with accounting (ideally investment related), financial reporting, and external or internal audit.

Your university degree or Community College Diploma equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration, with 1-5 years of accounting/financial field, pension plan or financial services experience make you the ideal candidate. You may also have or be actively pursuing your CPA designation.

IT Help Desk Administrator

We are looking for a talented, resourceful, quick learning IT Help Desk Administrator to join our team.

In this important role, you will support a close-knit technical team to provide support for the day-to-day operations of the desktop environment. You will coordinate requests for support, prioritize and assign severity levels, and follow up with users and your team to ensure service level standards are being met. You will monitor, review, and provide reporting on the performance of the help desk. You will troubleshoot issues, resolving when possible and escalating as necessary. You will administer end user workstations, including deployment, updating of hardware and software, and documenting processes as necessary

Specifically, you will be providing support for: Windows desktop OS; Desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and web browsers; Network connectivity; End user hardware including desktops, laptops, and mobile phones; Remote access systems; Online meetings and webinars.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • 3 or more years of experience providing technical support to users in a Windows desktop environment
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the Windows registry, group policy configuration and user profiles
  • Accountability - Takes ownership of personal workload and performs tasks to completion within deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Pension Analyst, Quality Assurance

We are looking for a resourceful, strategic thinking Pension Analyst to join our expanding Quality Assurance team.

This role is important because you will be responsible for identifying and testing pension system changes, involved with conducting process reviews on site at employers, as well as supporting other internal and external review activities.  As part of the Quality Assurance team, you provide support for users within the Service Delivery team, including providing assistance with day-to-day processing, documenting procedures and training.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts
  • A quick learner with experience implementing new pension systems, and testing methodologies
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, a mathematical aptitude

  • Experience testing and documenting changes and new functionality within the pension administration system

Your College Diploma or University Degree, with minimum 5 years of experience with Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP), public sector pension administration, or an outsourcing service provider; and prior experience auditing employers and defect analysis, quality reviews, and data integrity makes you the ideal candidate. You may also have or be actively pursuing your Pension Plan Administration Certificate, Certified Employee Benefit Specials Program or Certified Benefits Professionals designation(s).

Once here:

  • You will analyze identified defects and test fixes provided by the vendor or internal IT staff based on priority and volume
  • You will document business requirements for enhancements within the pension administration system
  • You will Identify and participate in structured training sessions        
  •  You will assist the Service Delivery teams with processing during peak periods in order to meet service standard levels

This role is important because you will the front-line pension administrator responsible for all day-to-day tasks in the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan.  As part of the Member Services team, you support members by processing various types of transactions using the administration system to perform a variety of activities and perform calculations.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts

We are looking for a proactive, client-focused Manager, Employer Services to join our dynamic, fast paced team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Service Delivery, this position leads initiatives to increase employer engagement, build Plan champions and will transform how the Plan serves employers through the deployment of an integrated employer portal. This role is important because you will be responsible for ensuring your Employer Services team provides technical support and guidance to facilitate the administration of the Plan and meeting service standards. 

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • A history of taking on progressively more senior responsibilities
  • Understanding of pension administration systems; employer and member portals; and working with pension plan texts
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff
  • Thorough knowledge of pension calculations and formulas is required
  • Experience with payroll-based data collection and spreadsheet tools
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, a mathematical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation

Your College Diploma or University Degree, a minimum of ten years of experience in pension administration with 3-5 years managing direct reports; MEPP/public sector experience working directly with employers or experience with outsourcing service providers working directly with clients makes you the ideal candidate. You must also have your Pension Plan Administration Certificate, Certified Employee Benefit Specials Program or Certified Benefits Professionals designation(s).

This role is important because you will be the day-to-day conduit between teams, providing administrative and support services to the Communication and Policy Teams and will provide direct administrative support to our Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
