Your Annual Statement is coming soon

In May or June of each year, active members receive a CAAT Plan Annual Statement through their employer. If you have not already received your 2010 statement, you can expect to do so within the next few weeks.

It gives you a snapshot of the amount of pension you’ve earned up to the end of last year. This is a good starting point for your retirement planning. The statement explains the pension formula, and shows how your earnings and service are the drivers of your future pension income.

Once again this year, we’ve made changes to the statement to make it more accessible and easier to understand. Dates have been simplified, and earnings and service are highlighted as the key items. Only information that is relevant to you appears. We have again emphasized the importance of having up-to-date spouse and beneficiary details, and included a form to make changes to these records if necessary.
