The CAAT Plan's net rate of return was 14.7% for the year 2009.
Over 5 years, the return to the end of 2009 is 3.4%, or 1.7% as a "real return" (with inflation taken into account). In order to maintain a fully funded status, over the long term a 4.5% real return per year is required.
The table below shows the Plan's investment performance over the past five years. These results are shown after trading costs and investment manager fees. Returns are also shown on a real rate of return basis - the Plan return, adjusted for inflation (measured by the Consumer Price Index).
