Members of the Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the administration of the Plan. The Trustees appoint a Chair and Vice-Chair to preside over the Board meetings for a period of 18 months. One of these positions is filled by an Employee Trustee and the other by an Employer Trustee.
The Finance and Administration and Investment Committees are each composed of six Trustees, split equally between Employer and Employee representatives. The Audit Committee is composed of four Trustees, also split equally between Employer and Employee representatives.

Donald Walcot, Chair Donald Walcot has served as an Employer Trustee since 2006. He is Chair of the Board and sits on the Investment Committee. Advisor to a number of Canadian pension investment committees, he has in the past been Chief Investment Officer of Bimcor (the Bell Canada pension fund), President of Sun Life Investment Management, and Chief Investment Officer of the Ontario Hydro Pension Fund. Mr. Walcot, a Chartered Financial Analyst, is a past Chair of the Pension Investment Association of Canada. |

Alec Ip, Vice Chair Alec Ip has served as an Employee Trustee since 2004. He is Vice Chair of the Board and sits on the Finance and Administration Committee. Currently Technical Co-ordinator for the Technology Department at Lambton College, he has worked as Mechanical Technologist for Lambton for the last 30 years. Mr. Ip is Local President for OPSEU Local 124. |

Darryl Bedford Darryl Bedford has served as an Employee Trustee since 2010, and sits on the Investment Committee. A professor in the School of Information Technology at Fanshawe College for 9 years, he is Local President for OPSEU Local 110. He is an elected member of the Fanshawe College Council. Mr. Bedford is a Life Member of the Association for Computing Machinery and has in the past worked as a computer programmer analyst for Canada Trust. |

Bernard Belanger Bernard Belanger has served as an Employee Trustee since 2009. He is Co Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee and sits on the Audit Committee. A professor in the School of Human Studies, General Arts and Sciences at Loyalist College for 22 years, he has been Local President for OPSEU Local 420 for the past 12 years. He is Chair of the Quinte Area Council for OPSEU, and in the past has been Chair of the Board for St. Leonard’s Youth House. Prior to his college career, Mr. Belanger worked for Correctional Services of Canada. |

Harry Gibbs Harry Gibbs has served as an Employer Trustee since 2003, and is Co Chair of the Investment Committee. An advisor to a number of Canadian pension investment committees, he has in the past been Vice President, Investments of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario, Senior Consultant in the Asset Consulting Group of Towers Perrin, and President of the Pension Investment Division of Air Canada. Mr. Gibbs has also been a Vice President and Director of the Pension Investment Association of Canada. |

Pierre Giroux Pierre Giroux has served as an Employee Trustee since 2010, and previously from 2001 to 2003. He sits on the Finance and Administration Committee. He retired from Algonquin College in 2000, after 30 years as faculty member, academic chair, and consultant with Educational Support Services and Planning Services. He served for 3 years on the Algonquin Board of Governors. Mr. Giroux has in the past served on the CAAT Plan Sponsors’ Committee, and has extensive international experience as a consultant in human resources development. |

John Rigsby John Rigsby has served as an Employer Trustee since 2010. He is Co Chair of the Audit Committee and sits on the Investment Committee. Self-employed as a consultant in administrative and financial management services, he retired in 2007 after 25 years of experience in the Ontario college system, most recently as Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer at Loyalist College, and Treasurer of the Loyalist College Foundation. Mr. Rigsby is a Certified General Accountant. |

Alnasir Samji Alnasir Samji has served as an Employer Trustee since 2010, and sits on the Finance and Administration Committee and the Audit Committee. Managing Principal at Alderidge Consulting Inc., he has in the past been a Principal at Towers Perrin, specializing in pension and actuarial consulting. He is Chair of the Pension Committee on the Torstar Board of Directors, and has previously chaired the Pension Committee of the United Way of Greater Toronto. Mr. Samji is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. |

Michael Seeger Michael Seeger joined the Board of Trustees as an Employee Trustee in 2011 and sits on the Investment Committee. A Chartered Accountant, he has been the Director of Financial Services for Loyalist College since 2007 and is the former Vice President of Finance and Operations for the Campbellford Memorial hospital. Mr. Seeger has extensive volunteer experience and is currently the Treasurer and President of Quinte Living Centre. |

James Simpson James Simpson has served as an Employer Trustee since 1998. He sits on the Finance and Administration Committee. A retired senior Human Resources executive, he is former Chair of the Seneca College Board of Governors. Mr. Simpson is a member of the Human Resources Professionals of Ontario. |

Beverley Townsend Beverley Townsend has served as an Employer Trustee since 2008, and is Co Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee. A health care consultant, she is a past Chair of ACAATO (precursor to Colleges Ontario), past Chair of the Loyalist College Board of Governors, and current Chair of the Loyalist College Foundation. Ms. Townsend has 30 years of management and administration experience in the public health care sector. |

Donald Wright Donald Wright has served as an Employee Trustee since 2000, and is Co Chair of both the Audit Committee and the Investment Committee. A General Accountant at George Brown College, he is Local Vice President for OPSEU Local 557, and has been a member of the OPSEU Resolutions Committee for 4 years, and an instructor in George Brown’s Continuing Education program for 14 years. Mr. Wright is also Treasurer of St. Hugh and St. Edmund Anglican Church. |
